A: The nutribullet Baby Steam + Blend is designed for simple, convenient clean up. The work bowl, lid, and blade are dishwasher-safe and the base can be wiped clean with a damp cloth or sponge. Never submerge the power base in water. The lid is comprised of two sections that should be separated before adding to the dishwasher.

Q: How do I prepare food for nutribullet ® Baby Steam + Blend?

A: To prepare produce, wash, then remove any peel, pits, and/or stems. Cut all ingredients – produce and meat -- into 1-inch pieces or smaller before adding to the work bowl.

Q: How do I use the blade in the Steam + Blend?

A: The blade should always be attached to the work bowl before adding food and operating the machine. Once your food is blended and completely cooled, you must carefully remove the blade before transferring food from the work bowl into another serving dish. The blade should remain separate from the work bowl during cleaning. Once the machine’s components have been cleaned and dried, reattach the blade to the work bowl and assemble the unit so it is ready to use for next time. For safety, do not store the blade unattached from the other machine components.

Q: How do I know how much water to add?

A: The inside of the water tank features markings that measure the water level in units of minutes. Different foods will require different amounts of time/water to steam fully. Consult the food list in the recipe guide to see how much water to add based on the food you’d like to cook.

Q: How do I know my unit is ready to cook?

A: When plugged in and ready for use, the center of the unit’s dial will light up solid blue. The blue light will blink during any cooking cycle you select (steam, blend, or auto) to indicate the machine is operating normally. Please note that the indicator notch on the dial is not designed to light up.

Q: How do I know when the auto program is done?

A: The machine will beep 3 times to indicate the cooking cycle is complete. Allow the food to cool for at least 10 minutes before removing the blade and transferring it to another dish.

A: Pulse mode allows you to blend in quick bursts to achieve coarser textures for more advanced eaters. To activate pulse mode, set the dial to the pulse setting, then press and hold the center power button for 3 seconds. The unit will beep to indicate pulse mode has been set. Press the center power button to activate pulses.

A: It is important to wait at least 10 minutes before transferring food to another dish. Always remove the blade from the work bowl before removing the food. The blade is not meant to lock into place, so if it is not removed before tipping the work bowl, it will fall, which could result in serious injury.
